Dr Gramm graduated from Rush University and completed a General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Fellowship at Loyola University in Chicago. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
After completing his Fellowship, he joined Cardiac Surgery Associates, one of the largest Cardiothoracic groups in the country, covering 24 hospitals in 4 states.
He was also an Assistant Professor at Loyola University Medical Center.
While at Loyola, he participated in Heart and Lung Transplantation. With the continued shortage of Thoracic Transplant Surgeons, Dr Gramm has provided thoracic procurement coverage at Loyola University, Gift of Hope Illinois, Indiana University, Memorial Regional in Hollywood Florida, STAR Teams, Tampa General, Transplant Advocates for which included procurements for Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Duke University, Emory Atlanta, NYU, University of Washington,
University of Florida and Jackson Memorial in Miami.
Dr Gramm is trained and has utilized the Transmedic OCS Platform and the Paragonix Preservation Systems: Sherpa and Lung Guard and was the First Surgeon in the World to use the Paragonix BaroGuard System for Lungs for Duke University.
Additionally, he has untilized NRP Technology for both Heart and Lung procurements.
He lives in Belleair Beach Florida with his 4 children and spends his free time boating, wind surfing, biking and relaxing at the beach.
